The UT Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) taught me to build my first robot, and I've been hooked ever since. In order to spread the word as much as possible, I built a wooden sign with the club's name, meeting dates, and website. One thing I learned from this is that painting takes forever. After the design was done, I protected it with several coats of sealant and put the sign outside. It survived Hurricane Harvey with no signs of wear, so I think it should last for years to come.
